Free Kayak Plans

you want to build your own kayak ?

The first thing you are going to need is a plan/design. Fortunately thanks to the internet, there are plenty of FREE plans around, particularly for the traditional shapes.

Sometimes designers will offer their  designs for free. Usually these plans are their earlier designs and have been tested and the Designer decided to change or improve them.
Backyard boat designers sometimes make their experimental boat plans available and
many free boat plans come from old magazines.
One way of getting free plans is to buy a designer's book. Often to illustrate the book several plans will be included free. You should have a good building reference book, get one with a few usable designs. If you have a bit of experience you might check out Gardner's book, building Classic Small Crafts.

Below I have listed a few websites where you can access kayak plans for FREE.
